Hershal C. Ferguson, III
President
Mr. Ferguson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sharon Energy Ltd since 2000. Mr. Ferguson is a Houston, Texas native and a third generation geologist. Graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, he has 16 years of experience in oil and gas exploration throughout the Gulf Coast, West Texas, and the Rocky Mountain Region. Beginning his career with Sterling Production Company, handling exploration, development, and operations of their west Texas activities for 6 years until co-founding a private energy company, Sable Energy Corp.
Robert W. Lamond
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Lamond is also Chairman of the Board and President of Humboldt Capital Corporation and Diaz Resources Ltd., listed on the TSX and TSE, respectively. Mr. Lamond is a geologist, educated at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to managing Diaz, Mr. Lamond was President of Czar Resources Ltd. from 1974 to 1995, and President of Orbit Oil & Gas Ltd. from 1990 to 1998. Both companies focused on the Canadian natural gas business and were listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Brad R. Perry
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Perry joined Sharon Energy Resources as their Chief Financial Officer in August 2006. Prior to joining Sharon, he was the CFO of Corridor Resources Inc. for over eight years. Mr. Perry also held financial positions with PanCanadian Petroleum and LASMO plc. In addition to Sharon, Mr. Perry is the Chief Financial Officer of Diaz Resources Ltd., a public oil and gas company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Perry received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (1989), concentrating on finance and computer science, from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mr. Perry is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Charles A. Teare
Executive Vice President and Secretary
Mr. Teare is also Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Humboldt Capital Corporation, a public oil and gas investment company listed on the TSX, and Diaz Resources Ltd., a public oil and gas company listed on the TSE, as well as serving as a Director of various junior resources companies. Mr. Teare, a chartered accountant, was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Orbit Oil and Gas Ltd., and its predecessor companies, from 1977 to 1998.
Donald K. Clark
Vice President, Operations
Mr. Clark is also Vice President of Operations of Humboldt Capital Corporation, a public oil and gas investment company listed on the TSX, and Diaz Resources Ltd., a public oil and gas company, listed on the TSE, as well as serving as a Director of Highview Resources Ltd. Mr. Clark has over 25 years of oil and gas experience, received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, 1977, and began his career in the oil patch with Texaco Canada.
Clive M. Stockdale
Director
Mr. Stockdale, currently Vice President of Canaccord Capital Corporation, Canada’s largest independent investment firm, received a joint honours degree in philosophy / economics from the London School of Economics. With over thirty-six years of experience in the oil industry, Mr. Stockdale, an investment analyst, specializes in the financing of junior oil companies.
Jack S. Steinhauser
Director
Jack Steinhauser is currently President of Upstream Energy Capital, a Denver-based investment banking firm focused on equity and debt financing of companies developing unconventional gas reserves in the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S. In addition, Mr. Steinhauser is the Founder of Hunter Stuart Energy Advisors, a consulting firm serving the oil and gas industry that specializes in joint venture financing of drilling projects. Mr. Steinhauser has 17 years experience in the oil and gas industry, received a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a Master's in International Management from the University of Denver and was formerly President of Sharon Energy Ltd.
David L. Bennington
Director
Mr. Bennington has forty years experience in providing accounting and management expertise to the forestry and mining sectors around the globe and has been a Director of Sharon since 1989.
